24 Weeks and Growing!

I am almost 24 weeks along now!!! I can't believe how fast time flies. I mean....Drake will be here in a little over 3 months!! That's not long at all! I cannot wait to hold him!! I also cannot believe how fast he has grown in just the past 2 weeks! My belly has really shot out there. ha! I have my next dr.'s appointment on Monday. It's the one where they check me for gestational diabetes. I've heard that I'll have to drink a horrible drink and then sit in the waiting room for an hour!! Doesn't sound like fun to me.This past weekend our Sunday School class had a BBQ/crawfish broil!! It was so much fun. I wish I had taken more pictures, however, here are a few of Luke and the guys eating crawfish. This is at about 9:00 p.m. They had been eating since 4:00!!!Wow! I don't know how they do it. The social was so much fun though....we need to do it more often!

The 1 hour gestational diabetes test isn't that bad. It tastes like sugary kool-aid. However, I do not recommend eating any sweets the night before. I ate cold stone ice cream the night before and didn't pass the 1 hour test and had to do the 4 hour test! 100 grams of sugar in under 5 minutes. Then, hang around for 3 hours. YUCK-O! Anywho, the bump looks adorable. The test isn't that bad--don't dread it. I assume you guys drink the same stuff there as here. It is 50 grams of sugar--same as Dr. Pepper. The second half of my pregnancy with Lilly (after I found out she was a girl) seem to fly by!! This whole pregnancy has flown by. I swear time is moving faster these days! Drake will be here before you know it. (c:

The gestational diabetes test isn't that bad. Well, actually the drink isn't as nasty as it is made out to be. I would skip high carbs and sugar the night before. I failed the 1 hour and then had to do the 4 hour which is horrible. It made me very sick and shaky, but I also failed it and did have gestational diabetes. This is the first time I have commented but I have been following for a while. I went to school with Luke and actually was best friends with his cousin Megan so we all 3 played and swam together a lot during the summer, Kristi Napier. By the way you look GREAT!
